Day 569/600 of 6th round of days of Keto… Day two of our Mexico vacation! Before taking off for our day trip to Tonala we enjoyed THE BEST menudo I have ever tasted in my life which were served with freshly made handmade tortillas. It will be super hard not to visit this menuderia every day. After filling the belly we spent the full day in Tonala. This beautiful city is full of talented artists who create breathtaking pieces of art. We literally spent the entire day walking around the town and taking in all the wonderful masterpieces that were in the shops all around the centro. I wish I could have purchased some of the colorful pottery but unfortunately flying back with it isnt possible. I enjoyed admiring it even if it was only for the day. We then had lunch at Carne en su jugo Navarrete. This was fantastic! The meat was very soft and the jugo was flavorful and delicious. After a full day of shopping (pictures to follow of what I bought) we went back to Zapopan. We visited a super tiny local that sells tacos de dedo and I had 3 and also one sope de picadillo. These tacos are super tiny but man do they have a lot of flavor. If I was hungrier I could have easily eaten 20! Good thing it was only a snack because I was still full from lunch.
